Powercor is currently upgrading the Kardinia Park Stadium power supply, to support the new Northern Stand and to ensure even better reliability into the future.

As part of the Kardinia Park redevelopment, Powercor will be upgrading the power supply to keep up with new demand and continue reliable power supply.

The majority of construction works were be completed between March 2022 to May 2022, with finalisation works due for completion by November 2022.

Construction works

The majority of works will be conducted within Kardinia Park, however some works will be required on nearby Moorabool Street and Verner Street. To safely complete works there will be traffic impacts on Moorabool Street and Verner Street.

Traffic Impacts

During works there will be some temporary traffic and parking impacts to Moorabool Street and Verner Street.
Local traffic and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times with traffic control in place to safely guide vehicles and pedestrians around the work area.

What to expect

Electricity supply will be maintained, there are no planned outages during these works.
Some of this work may be noisy.
