The Donald Rare Earth and Mineral Sands Project is located east of Minyip in regional Victoria. The project will provide an important new source of rare earth and mineral sands. As part of the project, Powercor will be providing a new electricity supply to power the mine and its operations.
We will connect the new power supply into our existing network in Horsham. As part of this work, we will be installing new poles and lines in the road reserve on Horsham Lubeck Road, Longerenong Road, Tuckers Road, Wimmera Highway, Longerenong-Warracknabeal Road, Banyena-Pimpinio Road, Donald-Murtoa Road, Staricks Road and Minyip-Rich Avon Road.
Powercor is currently in the early planning stages of the project, with works estimated to start in early to mid 2025, and to be completed by mid 2026.
